The word that comes to my mind when I think of Mike is Diligent. Mike is such a hard working man. He puts his whole heart into everything he really puts his mind to. I never have to wonder if he is being honest with me. If he has a belief in something, he sticks to that and will tell anyone that will listen. I think this is one of his best qualities. Everyday I think of how lucky I am to have married him.
The first night we hung out,we were all talking about our future. He simply mentioned two things; one: " I want to marry someone that I can do a lot of fun things with ,but still have fun when we are just sitting at home watching a movie: and two " I want to be poor when I am a newly wed, because it only brings the couple together" Those right there made me think.... " I want this guy." Mike is a man who thinks things through. I love how he has such an amazing view of life and how every situation we go through, we can grow from them.
Mike has so much energy and has and endless sense of humor. Mike is ALWAYS making me laugh. I honestly don't know how he comes up with the things that he says sometimes. I can say anything and he can come up with something funny.
Mike is also one of the most thoughtful people I know. I Love the look that he has on his face when he knows he is making my happy. I know that he loves me, not only because he tells me numerous times a day, but because he always wants to be with me. My mom always brings to my attention how wonderful it is that I have a husband that will just sit and help me when I am doing flowers for a wedding, photography, or even painting. He makes me feel like I am the most amazing person on this Earth.
The thing that cracks me up about Mike is how much information he can store in that Mind of his! People in our families will call him up with random questions about anything and he will most likely know the answer. It blows my mind. He LOVES to teach. I give him a hard time about how I like to know the SIMPLE explanation of things... not in detail. :) I can text him while at work, or call him when I am anywhere and he will answer any question I have do do with computers, or anything.
Something else that is cute about Mike, is he plans our house, vacations, ect. all around what will be cool to our kids. He is always looking up places to travel, and creating a cool house floor plan. He wants our house welcoming to everyone. I remember while we were dating, and starting to become serious; I told him how I was going to be a stay at home mom. He was very supportive of that decision and made sure he was doing everything he could to get a good education while picking a good profession to support our family. I LOVE how smart Mike is with money. I can't tell you how many Spreadsheets he has created for our finances, and for my little business.
It has been so much fun to see Mike as a dad. I never knew Mike had such a tender side to him ;) I knew he always loved kids and sometimes even fit in with the kids better at family parties, but now that is a dad, he has taken on the role so well. When we are having a conversation about anything to do with Logan like what to feed him ect, he will say, well, we want whats best for him.... then continue on. Mike and Logan are Buds. They play sports together already ( as much as a one year old can) and Logan gets overly excited whenever his daddy comes home from work.
